This post, I want to look at the Star Wars saga of the force being around us vs. God's Holy Spirit being IN us & and who we can feel safe surrendering to. In Star Wars, the dark and good forces are depicted as being all around and affecting us. This is true, especially of the dark force as it calls to all who will hear to succumb to the pull of power, anger, death, and destruction.
In the Star Wars saga, the good force is depicted as that which can be felt and followed. This pales and even cannot be compared to God's Holy Spirit which is the third person of the trinity: God, the Father, God, the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit. God, the Holy Spirit, comes and dwells in us; to those who have accepted and surrendered to the truth of Jesus' death and resurrection for the forgiveness of their sins.
The God of the universe, in the person of the Holy Spirit, comes to dwell within us who sincerely believe. WOW! Star Wars has it all wrong! God, in the person of the Holy Spirit, is a Person capable of feelings and being grieved (more about this in another post) & and who comes to dwell within us.
God indwelling us is the reason we can let go of control to Him. He loves us unconditionally and will lead and guide us from the inside out if we but ask. He also leads and guides us through external circumstances & and this will be covered in a different post. Have you surrendered to Jesus' death and resurrection for the forgiveness of your sins? Will you, or have you asked Him to guide you? If He is in you and you lay down the control of your life to Him and sincerely ask, He will guide you. He is just WAITING, like a gentleman, for you to ask!
Letting go of control is the way to flow!
